Aidio is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the limited circumstances where it is shared.
Data we collect
- Contact info: email address and optional name when you sign in.
- Identifiers: user ID and authentication tokens used to keep you signed in.
- User content: topics, preferences, custom instructions, and generated transcripts.
- Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address and device info) for security and reliability.
We do not use tracking for advertising or share your data with third parties for marketing.
How we use data
- Account login and security
- Generating scripts, audio, and cover art for episodes
- Saving your library on your device
- Sending optional local notifications when an episode is ready
When we share data
- With service providers (for example, Supabase for authentication and Google Gemini for AI generation).
- When you choose to share an episode, we only share what you explicitly select.
- To comply with legal requirements or protect against abuse.
We do not sell personal data. Service providers only process data to deliver the app’s core functionality.
Data storage and retention
- Audio files, cover art, and podcast metadata are stored locally on your device.
- Sign-in tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
- Server-side data is retained only as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
Your choices
- You can use the app as a guest without creating an account.
- You can delete the app to remove local files and data.
- To delete your account or server-side data, contact support.
What we do not collect
- Location, health, or financial information
- Browsing or search history
- Sensitive data categories
If our data practices change, we will update this policy and notify users in the app.
